Role Description The Deputy Director – Placement will oversee and drive placement activities for students, ensuring strong industry engagement and successful campus hiring outcomes. This full-time, on-site role in the Kolkata metropolitan area includes developing and maintaining corporate relationships, coordinating placement drives, and liaising with employers for internships and job opportunities. The role involves designing and implementing training and employability enhancement programs, organizing career guidance sessions,



and tracking placement statistics and outcomes.

The Deputy

Director – Placement will collaborate with faculty, department heads, and the central placement team to align student readiness with market requirements, and will prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on placement performance and strategy.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Training and Career Counseling skills to support student employability and professional development.
- Candidates should possess Hiring and Recruiting skills to manage campus placements, employer engagement, and talent pipelines.
- Candidates should possess Finance-related skills to understand salary structures, placement budgets, and basic financial planning for placement activities.
- Candidates should have excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and sustain corporate relationships.
- Relevant experience in university placements, corporate HR, talent acquisition, or career services, preferably in higher education or professional training environments.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to use data and metrics to drive placement strategies and continuous improvement.
- Postgraduate degree in Management, Human Resources, Education, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
