Job Role

Department Manager – Retail Store

- Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and overall shopping experience.

- Provide accurate information about product pricing, features, discounts, and after-sales services.

- Promote sales through cross-selling and informing customers about ongoing offers.

- Manage the retail floor and ensure smooth day-to-day department operations.

- Lead and manage the store team to achieve sales and service objectives.

- Ensure shelves and racks are properly stocked and merchandise is well organised.

- Handle merchandise returns and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

- Monitor inventory procedures and ensure proper stock availability.

- Coordinate with the team to deliver excellent customer service.

- Share customer feedback and operational updates with the Store Manager.

- Stay updated on new products, services, promotions, and store procedures.

- Ensure assigned sales targets and departmental objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales:

- Greet customers and understand their requirements.

- Assist customers in selecting suitable products.

- Explain product features, pricing, offers, and after-sales services.

- Promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

- Maintain a high standard of customer service.

Floor Management

- Supervise day-to-day activities on the retail floor.





- Ensure products are properly displayed, stocked, and organised.

- Monitor merchandise movement and returns.

- Maintain a clean, organised, and customer-friendly department.

Team Management

- Lead, guide, and motivate the department team.

- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.

- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth customer service.

- Support the team in achieving sales targets and operational goals.

Inventory & Operations

- Monitor stock availability and shelf replenishment.

- Follow proper inventory and merchandise-handling procedures.

- Coordinate with relevant teams regarding stock requirements and discrepancies.

- Ensure merchandise returns are handled appropriately.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualification: 12th Pass

- Experience: 3–6 Years

- Relevant experience in retail, sales, store operations, or team management preferred.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Good knowledge of inventory and merchandise procedures.

- Ability to manage a retail floor and team effectively.

- Strong sales and target-achievement orientation.

- Positive attitude and professional approach.

Salary & Advantages

- In-Hand Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹34,000 per month
