Rathinam Global University invites applications and nominations from accomplished and dynamic legal academicians for the position of Dean – School of Law.

Role Overview The Dean will provide academic, administrative and strategic leadership to the School of Law and will be responsible for strengthening the quality, reputation and growth of the institution. The role requires a senior Law academician with strong leadership capabilities, sound understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to build a high-performing academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

- Provide overall leadership for Law programmes and academic standards.
- Strengthen curriculum, teaching-learning practices, academic planning and quality processes.
- Promote creative and contemporary approaches to legal education.
- Ensure effective delivery of UG/PG academic programmes.

1. Academic Administration Compliance

- Oversee examinations, timetables, academic planning and institutional documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BCI, UGC, affiliating University and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate statutory and regulatory requirements relating to legal education.
- Support institutional quality and accreditation initiatives.

1. Faculty Leadership Development

- Lead, motivate and develop the School of Law faculty.
- Participate in faculty recruitment, performance management and development.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence, research, collaboration and professional development.

1. Student Development Outcomes

- Strengthen moot courts, internships, placements, legal aid, competitions and mentoring.
- Promote clinical legal education and practical exposure.
- Improve student employability and professional readiness.
- Build stronger connections between academic learning and the legal profession.





1. Research Academic Development

- Encourage faculty research, publications, conferences and research projects.
- Promote Ph.D. and postgraduate research activities.
- Develop collaborations with universities, research institutions and professional bodies.

1. Legal Industry Engagement

- Build strong relationships with Courts, Bar Associations, advocates, law firms and legal institutions.
- Develop opportunities for internships, professional exposure and industry engagement.

1. Institutional Growth Brand Building

- Contribute to the development and expansion of the School of Law.
- Strengthen academic reputation, admissions, collaborations, internships and placements.
- Support NAAC/NIRF and other institutional quality initiatives.
- Develop the School of Law as a centre of excellence in legal education.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Law and LL.M./relevant Law qualification, subject to applicable BCI, UGC and University regulations.
- Strong experience in Law teaching, academic activities and higher-education administration.
- Proven leadership experience as Dean / Principal / HOD / Director or equivalent academic leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of BCI, UGC and University regulations.
- Demonstrated academic administration and faculty-management capabilities.
- Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
