Key Responsibilities

1. BODS Development & ETL

- Design, build, and unit test custom SAP Data Services (BODS) jobs, dataflows, and complex mappings according to technical standards.
- Translate functional mapping specifications into robust transformation logic, following established naming, versioning, and transport protocols.
- Profile legacy source data, identify data quality gaps, and collaborate with business data owners to drive data cleansing.

2. Load Execution & Reconciliation

- Execute data loads into SAP S/4HANA using BODS and SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) across MM, SD, FI, and IS-Retail modules.
- Prepare staged legacy data, run validation checks, and manage delta and re-run load cycles under the direction of the Data Migration Lead.
- Build automated reconciliation reports comparing record counts, totals, and key financial/inventory metrics against legacy source systems.
- Track, log, and resolve load defects during testing and execution cycles.

3. Data Quality & Performance Optimization

- Implement automated data quality validation rules for critical retail master data objects prior to target loading.
- Tune and optimize BODS dataflows to handle massive volumes of retail data (articles, pricing, site master, inventory) within designated cutover load windows.
- Maintain comprehensive mapping documentation, migration templates, and signed-off load logs for audit compliance.

4. Project Support & Cutover

- Actively participate in all mock load cycles, dress rehearsals, and store go-live cutover windows.
- Promptly escalate migration risks, including legacy data gaps, processing bottlenecks, or record failures.
- Monitor assigned migration objects against the master data readiness plan and provide regular status updates to leadership.





Qualifications & Requirements Education & Certifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Preferred: SAP Data Services Certification or SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Certification.

Experience

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on SAP data migration experience using SAP Data Services (BODS).
- Mandatory Requirement: End-to-end completion of at least one greenfield SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation from blueprint design through hypercare.
- Proven experience handling core SAP IS-Retail data objects (e.g., Article Master, Article Hierarchy, Site Master, Vendor, Customer, Inventory Balance, Open PO/SO).
- Demonstrated experience in full-lifecycle data migration: extraction, profiling, mapping, target loading, reconciliation, and post-load issue resolution.

Technical Competencies

- Deep technical mastery of SAP BODS (transforms, scripts, lookups, performance tuning, and error handling).
- Direct experience with SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM) and staging tables.
- Strong SQL capabilities for executing complex profiling, validation, and reconciliation queries.
- Deep understanding of SAP IS-Retail and S/4HANA data structures and relationships.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.
- Exceptional analytical abilities with a solid eye for detail during data verification.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work off-hours, weekends, or extended shifts during critical cutover windows and store launches.
- Exposure to multi-country or multi-location store rollouts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and tools like Jira or Solution Manager.
