Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and infrastructure. On a day-to-day basis, this role analyzes security requirements, configures security tools, and develops controls to protect applications, networks, and data.

The engineer conducts vulnerability assessments, reviews logs and alerts, and responds to security incidents by investigating, documenting, and recommending remediation steps. This position collaborates with development,



infrastructure, and operations teams to embed security into architectures and processes, and contributes to security policies, standards, and technical documentation. The role also involves staying current with emerging threats, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security architecture, risk assessment, and security controls implementation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including firewall configuration, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code review, and security testing of web and mobile applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Vulnerability Assessment, including use of scanning tools, analysis of findings, and remediation planning.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ are a plus.
