Curriculum Development Intern – Resin & Origami

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, hands-on and detail-oriented Curriculum Development Intern tosupport the development of two craft-based learning modules for middle-school students. Resin Art & Design and Origami & Paper Engineering.

The intern will work closely with the curriculum/design team to research ideas, developage-appropriate projects, prototype activities, document processes, and help create structuredlesson plans and visual teaching resources.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys making things, experimenting with materials,designing educational experiences and turning creative ideas into structured student projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development

● Research and develop project ideas for Resin and Origami.

● Convert creative activities into structured, age-appropriate learning experiences.

● Develop lesson plans with:

○ Learning objectives

○ Skills developed

○ Materials required

○ Step-by-step process

○ Exploration/design challenge

○ Reflection questions

○ Assessment ideas

● Create a logical progression of projects from basic to advanced skills.

2. Hands-on Prototyping

● Make prototypes of proposed student projects.

● Test whether projects can realistically be completed within the planned class duration.

● Identify challenges related to materials, construction, strength, finishing and usability.

● Simplify or modify projects based on prototype testing.

● Record observations and improvements.

3. Resin Module Development

● Research basic resin techniques suitable for a school learning environment.

● Explore projects involving moulds, colours, textures, inclusions, layering and casting.

● Research and document appropriate safety practices and material-handling procedures.

● Develop projects that emphasize design thinking and material exploration

● 4. Origami & Paper Engineering Module

● Develop projects using folding, modular origami, tessellation and paper structures.





● Create progressive activities that build students' folding and spatial-thinking skills.

● Explore connections between origami, geometry, architecture, engineering and design.

● Test and document folding sequences and construction methods.

5. Visual & Teacher Resources

● Create clear step-by-step process documentation.

● Develop simple diagrams, reference images and visual instructions.

● Prepare teacher-aid/reference material for classroom implementation.

● Photograph or document prototypes where required.

6. Documentation & Organization

● Maintain organized curriculum files and project documentation.

● Prepare material lists and quantity estimates.

● Maintain Excel/Google Sheets for curriculum planning and procurement.

● Track prototype status, modifications and final project recommendations.

Required Skills

Must Have

● Strong interest and ability in hands-on art/craft/design.

● Good understanding of basic design principles and creative processes.

● Ability to research and develop original project ideas.

● Good communication and documentation skills.

● Strong attention to detail.

● Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.

● Willingness to experiment, prototype and learn new materials.

Good to Have

● Experience with resin art/casting.

● Robust Origami skills.

● Background in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Design, Product Design, Architecture, Craft,

Education or a related field.

● Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar tools.

During the internship, the intern will contribute to:

● 1 complete Resin curriculum module

● 1 complete Origami curriculum module

● Age-wise project progression for Grades 6–8

● Detailed project briefs and lesson plans

● Prototype documentation

● Materials and procurement lists

● Step-by-step process instructions

● Visual/teacher-aid references

● Reflection and assessment questions

● Recommendations for improving project feasibility and classroom implementation

Educational Approach The ideal candidate should understand that the objective is not simply to create a collection of craft activities.Projects should encourage students to:

Explore → Experiment → Design → Make → Test → Improve → Reflect The intern should therefore be able to connect Resin and Origami with concepts such as geometry, structures, patterns, material science, design thinking, creativity and problem-solving.

Qualification

Students or recent graduates pursuing Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Design, Product Design,

Architecture, Education, Craft, Visual Communication or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Experience: 0–2 years Freshers welcome Final Year design students looking for internships or design proejcts
