Niyam Foundation is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Counselling Psychologist to join our team and support individuals undergoing de-addiction, rehabilitation and recovery.

Position: Counselling Psychologist

Location: Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh

Experience

- Minimum 1 year of experience in counselling, psychology, de-addiction, rehabilitation, psychiatry, mental health or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals facing substance-use or behavioural concerns will be an advantage.

Qualification
- MA/M.Sc. in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology
- Candidates should have positive communication, counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Additional relevant training/certification in counselling or de-addiction will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and supportive counselling to residents undergoing de-addiction and rehabilitation.
- Conduct psychological and behavioural assessments as appropriate to the role and qualifications.
- Identify emotional, behavioural, psychological and family-related concerns.




- Develop and support individual counselling and recovery plans in coordination with the rehabilitation team.
- Conduct regular one-to-one counselling sessions and maintain appropriate records and case notes.
- Facilitate group counselling sessions, awareness sessions and therapeutic activities.
- Coordinate with doctors, psychiatrists, counsellors, social workers, nurses and other rehabilitation staff.
- Communicate with family members when required as part of the rehabilitation process.
