Civil Engineer – Foundry Plant Installation

About the Role

Suhani Metacast is setting up a new industrial foundry plant in Jaipur. We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to take responsibility for day-to-day supervision and coordination of civil, structural and machine installation works at the project site.

The person will work closely with the company's management, civil/structural consultants, equipment suppliers and civil contractors to ensure that construction is carried out correctly, on schedule and as per approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the plant.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications and dimensions.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors on site.
- Check workmanship and quality of construction.

2. Equipment Foundations

- Coordinate and supervise foundations for heavy industrial equipment.
- Work with equipment suppliers and consultants for foundation requirements.
- Verify foundation dimensions, levels, anchor bolts, reinforcement and other requirements before concreting.
- Coordinate civil works required for equipment installation.

3. Industrial Civil Works

- Supervise RCC foundations, slabs, trenches, pits and equipment platforms.
- Coordinate industrial flooring and heavy-duty flooring works.
- Supervise drainage, water lines and other civil utility works.
- Coordinate structural steel and related civil works.

4. Drawings & Technical Coordination

- Read and understand civil and structural drawings.
- Coordinate with structural consultants for drawing clarifications and revisions.




- Coordinate with machinery suppliers such as DISA and Inductotherm regarding civil requirements.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.

5. Contractor & Cost Management

- Monitor contractor progress and manpower.
- Measure quantities executed at site.
- Verify contractor bills/RA bills against actual work.
- Assist in BOQ verification and material planning.
- Track project progress and highlight delays or issues to management.

6. Quality Control

- Ensure proper quality of RCC, reinforcement, concrete, masonry, flooring and other civil works.
- Check materials being used at site.
- Coordinate concrete testing and other required quality checks.
- Ensure proper curing and construction practices.

7. Project Coordination

- Coordinate civil activities with electrical, mechanical and equipment installation works.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress updates.
- Identify upcoming civil requirements so that equipment installation is not delayed.
- Maintain records of drawings, measurements, work progress and site issues.

Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in foundry projects.
- Strong experience in site execution and contractor supervision.
- Good understanding of RCC and structural drawings.
- Ability to independently monitor civil works at an industrial project site.
- Prior experience of working at a Foundry is important
