Job Requirements*

1. Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

- years of experience in Citrix administration, with strong L2/L3 exposure.
- Hands‑on expertise in:
- Citrix DaaS / CVAD
- Citrix Cloud & Cloud Connectors
- Manage, Monitor, Workspace
- Strong understanding of:
- Delivery Controllers, VDAs, Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups
- ICA/HDX protocol behavior
- Experience managing large‑scale enterprise environments (thousands of users).

2. Advanced Troubleshooting & RCA

- Act as L3 escalation point for complex or high‑impact incidents.
- Expertise in diagnosing:
- Logon slowness and failures
- Session disconnects, freezes, and latency
- Application launch and performance issues
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and define permanent fixes.
- Lead Major Incident bridges and drive resolution.

3. Performance Optimization

- Optimize user experience through:
- Citrix policy tuning (HDX, CPU, memory, graphics)
- Profile management (UPM / FSLogix)
- Proactive identification of platform bottlenecks.
- Reduce recurring incidents and post‑production defects.

4. Image & Application Management

- Ownership of gold/master image lifecycle:
- OS hardening
- VDA upgrades
- Patch management
- Application integration, regression testing, and compatibility analysis.
- Minimize image sprawl and maintain version control.

5. Microsoft Azure – Mandatory

- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure supporting Citrix workloads.
- Expertise in:
- Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS)
- Azure VNet design, subnets, NSGs, routing
- Azure Load Balancer (Internal / External)
- Azure Private DNS
- Understanding of:




- Availability Sets & Availability Zones
- Azure VM sizing, scaling, and performance tuning
- Experience integrating Citrix DaaS with Azure resource locations

6. Citrix NetScaler / ADC (Preferred)

- Troubleshooting ICA traffic, authentication, and gateway issues.
- Knowledge of:
- Load balancing
- Certificates and SSL configuration
- MFA / SSO integration
- Work closely with network teams during gateway‑related outages.

7. Security & Compliance

- Apply Citrix security best practices and hardening standards.
- Plan and execute hotfixes, patches, and zero‑day mitigations.
- Support vulnerability remediation and audit requirements.
- Align platform to enterprise security and compliance standards.

8. Automation & Engineering

- Robust PowerShell scripting skills for Citrix automation.
- Build tools for:
- Platform health checks
- Maintenance activities
- Environment consistency
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

9. Change, Upgrade & Release Management

- Plan and execute Citrix upgrades and platform changes.
- Perform impact analysis and define rollback strategies.
- Participate in CAB and review high‑risk changes.
- Ensure minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities*





- Own the end‑to‑end Citrix platform (Citrix DaaS / CVAD / Citrix Cloud or on‑prem).
- Design, review, and approve Citrix architecture (Workspace, VDAs, Cloud Connectors).
- Ensure scalable, secure, and highly available designs across regions and data center.
- Define standards and best practices for images, catalogs, delivery groups, and policies.
- Act as the final escalation point (L3) for complex Citrix incidents.
- Lead major incident bridges, especially for outages, performance degradation, or logon failures.
- Perform deep root cause analysis (RCA) using:
- Citrix Monitor, HDX Insight
- eG / Azure / UberAgent
- Event logs, netstat, procmon, Wireshark
- Identify long‑term fixes and preventive actions.
- Optimize logon performance, session responsiveness, and application launch times.
- Tuning of:
- Citrix policies (HDX, CPU, memory, graphics)
- Profile management (UPM, FSLogix)
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and capacity risks.
- Reduce recurring incidents and post‑production defects.
- Enforce security hardening aligned to enterprise standards.
- Apply Citrix hotfixes, security updates, and zero‑day mitigations.
- Collaborate with security teams on:
- CVE remediation
- Vulnerability scans
- Audit findings
- Ensure compliance with access controls and data protection standards.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for:
- Health checks
- Catalog and delivery group management
- Maintenance actions
- Reduce manual effort and operational risk through scripting and tooling.
- Improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
- Plan and execute Citrix upgrades (VDAs, Cloud Connectors, Workspace app).
- Validate changes via non‑production testing and rollback strategies.
- Participate in CAB and review high‑risk changes.
- Ensure minimal user impact during releases.
