Job Summary

We are looking for a Chemist with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the Water & Wastewater Treatment industry to manage laboratory activities, water and wastewater analysis, chemical dosing and process monitoring at our Khopoli site.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of ETP/RO operations, water quality parameters, chemical analysis and laboratory testing. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining process quality, conducting regular testing and ensuring plant operations are within defined parameters.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine physical and chemical analysis of water and wastewater samples.
- Perform laboratory testing as per defined SOPs and testing procedures.
- Monitor important parameters such as pH, TDS, conductivity, COD, BOD, MLSS, MLVSS, hardness, alkalinity, chloride and other relevant parameters.
- Collect samples from different stages of the treatment process and carry out timely analysis.
- Monitor ETP/RO process performance based on laboratory test results.
- Recommend and monitor appropriate chemical dosing based on process requirements.
- Maintain chemical dosing records and monitor chemical consumption.
- Maintain proper laboratory records, test reports, logbooks and daily analysis sheets.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Identify abnormal test results and immediately communicate deviations to the Site In-Charge/Operations team.
- Support the operations team in optimizing treatment processes based on analytical results.
- Monitor wastewater treatment parameters and assist in maintaining required outlet quality.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of laboratory chemicals and reagents.




- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure regular calibration/checking of instruments.
- Follow proper sampling, testing and documentation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational procedures.
- Maintain positive housekeeping and hygiene within the laboratory and plant area.
- Coordinate with the operations team for troubleshooting process-related issues.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS and laboratory reports as required.
- Support internal and client inspections, audits and compliance-related activities.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a Chemist in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, ETP, STP or RO plants.
- Good knowledge of water and wastewater analysis.
- Practical experience in laboratory testing and chemical analysis.
- Knowledge of ETP/RO process and treatment parameters.
- Good understanding of chemical dosing and process control.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as pH meter, conductivity/TDS meter, turbidity meter and other testing equipment.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify process deviations and take appropriate corrective action.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for handling chemicals is essential.
- Candidates with experience in industrial ETP/RO operations will be preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on and responsible Chemist who can independently handle routine laboratory activities, water/wastewater testing and process monitoring.

Candidates with experience in industrial ETP, RO, wastewater treatment and chemical dosing will be preferred.

Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
