Purpose of the role : - As the Lead - Chassis Architecture 2W, you will be responsible for delivering chassis systems for a Product/Platform working in coordination with multiple design engineers across chassis functions. You will work with the guidance of section head chassis architecture, cross-functionally with design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to develop creative solutions that enhance the structural integrity and overall riding experience.

Position reports to: Section Head Chassis Architecture 2W
Location: Hosur
Education Qualification: - BTech or MTech in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.
- Any course or certification in project management
Required Experience: 14 years in Automotive R&D; field. Experience in Chassis System Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years Chassis System Design & development, Experience Leading Value Engineering Initiatives.

Internal - Design, Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales teams
External - Suppliers
Role Description
Lead the development of chassis systems across functional teams for a product / platform delivering New Products and /or addressing problems in current products.
- Define technical requirements and ensure designs meet performance, durability, weight and cost targets. Co-ordinate effectively to deploy mutually agreed QCD requirements on chassis systems, steer alignments and discussions within and between CoCs, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales.
- Review test procedures and results (performance & durability) and oversee the validation process.
- Ensure design reviews, DFMEA, Design Input Sheet, DVP are completed in timely manner
- Mentor new engineers for their career goals and objectives
- Lead Problem solving initiatives & Value Engineering initiatives on chassis systems across product life cycles.
- Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage supplier relationships for the project
