Role Description The Cashier Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at The Bigmarket in Devanahalli. This role oversees daily cashier operations, including supervising cashier staff, organizing schedules, and ensuring that billing and payment processes run smoothly and accurately.

The Cashier

Supervisor monitors cash handling procedures, reconciles cash and card transactions, and addresses customer queries or issues at the checkout.



The role also involves training and guiding new cashiers, enforcing store policies, and coordinating with store management to improve service quality and efficiency. In addition, the Cashier Supervisor supports inventory and price-check activities at the billing counters and helps maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly checkout environment.

Qualifications

- Cash handling, POS system operation, and transaction reconciliation skills.
- Team supervision, staff scheduling, and training and coaching skills.
- Customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Basic numeracy, attention to detail, and accuracy in billing and record keeping.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a busy retail environment.
- Previous experience in retail, supermarket operations, or cashier supervision preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in retail or finance are an advantage.
