Role Description The Cashier at Hotel Centrepoint is responsible for handling guest billing and payment transactions accurately and efficiently in an on-site, full-time role based in Chennai. Day-to-day tasks include operating the point-of-sale system, processing cash, card, and digital payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining proper records of all transactions. The Cashier will coordinate with front office and restaurant staff to ensure bills are correct, resolve billing queries,



and provide courteous support to guests during check-out or at dining outlets.

Additional responsibilities include balancing cash drawers, preparing daily reports, following hotel policies and financial procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized cashier station. The role requires working closely with the service team to uphold the hotel’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong cash handling, basic accounting, and numerical accuracy skills.

- Candidates should possess point-of-sale (POS) operation, billing, and record-keeping skills.

- Candidates should possess customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Candidates should possess time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

- Relevant experience in hospitality, retail, or front-office cashier roles is preferred.

- Ability to work versatile shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.

- Proficiency in English and local language, with basic computer literacy (MS Office, hotel software) is beneficial.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in hospitality or accounting is an added advantage.
