About the Role

Mercure Homes is looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our furniture and interior design team. The candidate will be responsible for creating, assembling, installing, and finishing custom furniture and interior elements as per designs, measurements, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute carpentry work for custom furniture and interior projects.

- Read and understand furniture drawings, designs, measurements, and specifications.

- Accurately measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden components.

- Work with materials such as plywood, MDF, veneer, solid wood, laminates, and other furniture materials.

- Make and install furniture such as tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, wardrobes, storage units, panels, and other custom pieces.

- Handle drilling, joining, fixing, polishing preparation, and other carpentry-related work.

- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, channels, locks, brackets, and other fittings.

- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, fitting, and finishing of furniture.

- Work closely with designers, supervisors, and the project team to execute designs accurately.

- Identify and report any issues with measurements, materials, drawings, or site conditions.

- Carry out modifications, repairs, and adjustments whenever required.

- Maintain and safely operate hand tools and power tools.





- Ensure proper handling of materials and avoid unnecessary wastage.

- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the workshop/site.

- Complete assigned work within the required timeline and quality standards.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in furniture carpentry or interior carpentry.

- Solid practical knowledge of furniture making and installation.

- Ability to understand measurements and basic furniture/interior drawings.

- Good knowledge of different wood and board materials.

- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.

- Good understanding of furniture hardware and fittings.

- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

- Good attention to measurements, finishing, and quality.

- Experience in custom/luxury furniture will be an advantage.

- ITI Carpentry or relevant technical training is preferred but not mandatory; practical experience will be given importance.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹50,000.13 per month
