Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Campus Manager with a strong technical background to manage the overall operations, engineering services, facilities, infrastructure and support services of a pharmaceutical campus.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring protected, compliant, reliable and efficient operation of all critical engineering and facility systems, while maintaining high standards of GMP, EHS, statutory compliance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical & Engineering Management

- Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, civil and utility systems.
- Ensure reliable operation of critical utilities such as HVAC/AHU, chillers, boilers, compressors, DG sets, UPS, electrical systems, STP/ETP, water systems and other utility equipment.
- Monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper implementation of PPM schedules, AMC and equipment maintenance plans.
- Review equipment performance, energy consumption and recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper operation of BMS/EMS and other monitoring systems.
- Coordinate shutdown planning and execution with relevant departments.

1. Pharma / GMP Compliance

- Ensure facility operations are carried out in accordance with GMP, GDP, EHS and company SOP requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation, logbooks, maintenance records and statutory records.
- Support internal, client, regulatory and GMP audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations, CAPA and deviations related to engineering and facility operations.
- Coordinate with Quality, EHS, Production and other departments for compliance requirements.

1. Facility Management





- Oversee complete campus infrastructure and facility services.
- Manage housekeeping, security, pest control, landscaping, waste management and other soft services through respective teams/vendors.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and upkeep of the campus.
- Monitor building infrastructure, civil works, façade, roads, drainage, parking and common areas.
- Ensure effective implementation of facility standards and service-level requirements.

1. Vendor & AMC Management

- Manage contractors, service providers and technical vendors.
- Ensure timely execution of AMC/CMC and maintenance contracts.
- Review vendor performance, manpower deployment, quality of work and SLA compliance.
- Coordinate quotations, PR/PO requirements and commercial negotiations in coordination with procurement.
- Ensure proper documentation and performance evaluation of vendors.

1. Team Management

- Lead and supervise the technical and facility management team.
- Plan manpower deployment, shifts, training and competency development.
- Conduct regular review meetings with engineers, supervisors and service partners.
- Ensure proper communication and escalation of operational issues.
- Promote a strong safety and compliance culture within the team.

1. EHS & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, fire, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and safe work practices.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and renewals for applicable licenses/certificates.
- Ensure emergency preparedness, fire safety systems and mock drills are effectively managed.
- Investigate major incidents/breakdowns and implement preventive measures.

1. Energy & Cost Management

- Monitor electricity,



water, fuel and other utility consumption.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost optimization.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives without compromising GMP or operational requirements.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports covering maintenance, utilities, energy, manpower, breakdowns and costs.

1. Project & Capex Management

- Support facility expansion, modification, renovation and engineering projects.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders for project execution.
- Monitor project timelines, quality, safety and budgets.
- Support commissioning, qualification and handover of new equipment/systems where applicable.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP, HVAC, electrical and utility systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing or other regulated environments.
- Good understanding of GMP, EHS, statutory compliance and engineering documentation.
- Strong experience in vendor, contractor and manpower management.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical and facility functions simultaneously.
- Should be comfortable handling 24x7 critical operations and emergency situations when required.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, API/formulation facilities, R&D; campuses, large industrial campuses or integrated facility management will be preferred.
