We are hiring Calibration Lead – Drivability for one of the leading Automotive companies in Chennai.

Travel: Candidate should be willing to travel
Key Responsibilities
- Perform drivability calibration including launch, creep, shift quality, torque coordination, tip-in/tip-out and drive mode behaviour.
- Calibrate and tune transmission control strategies for CVT, DCT, EV or Hybrid powertrains.
- Execute testing on dynamometers, test benches and vehicles, including test tracks and public roads.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues and drive them to closure.
- Support vehicle integration, demo builds and calibration events.
- Work closely with System, Software and Hardware teams for root-cause analysis.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of calibration and testing processes.
- Document test results, calibration changes and analysis through engineering reports.
- Participate in technical training and development programs.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in transmission or electrified powertrain calibration.
Strong understanding of vehicle drivability fundamentals and powertrain controls.
Experience in CVT shift strategy or DCT clutch control is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with ETAS INCA, CANape, CANalyzer or similar calibration tools.
Positive understanding of CAN, diagnostics and vehicle signals.
OEM / Tier-1 automotive development experience preferred.
Knowledge of Python, Bash, PERL, Java or CAPL is an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
