Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Jewellery CAD Designer with strong knowledge of jewellery design and 3D CAD modelling. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and production-ready jewellery models based on sketches, concepts, images, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Create accurate 3D CAD models of jewellery such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, pendants, and other ornaments.
- Convert hand sketches, reference images, and design concepts into detailed 3D CAD models.
- Develop production-ready designs with proper dimensions, proportions, stone settings, and finishing details.
- Work with diamonds, gemstones, and different jewellery settings.
- Create and modify designs according to customer and production requirements.
- Ensure proper stone size, placement, alignment, and setting in the CAD model.
- Prepare models suitable for 3D printing, casting, CNC, and manufacturing.
- Check designs for manufacturability and identify potential production issues before manufacturing.
- Make design modifications based on feedback from clients, designers, production teams, and quality teams.
- Maintain accuracy in weight, dimensions, tolerances, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with jewellery designers, production teams, setters, model makers, and other departments.
- Manage multiple designs and complete projects within specified timelines.
- Review CAD models created by junior designers and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain proper design files, revisions, and documentation.




- Stay updated with current jewellery design trends and CAD techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / Degree in Jewellery Design, CAD Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field is preferred.
- 2– 3 years of experience in jewellery CAD designing.
- Strong proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, 3Design, or similar software.
- Robust understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of diamond and gemstone setting techniques.
- Understanding of casting, polishing, stone setting, finishing, and manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to understand jewellery sketches and convert concepts into accurate 3D models.
- Good knowledge of jewellery proportions, symmetry, weight optimization, and structural strength.
- Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Additional Advantage

- Experience in Rhino + MatrixGold or similar professional jewellery CAD software.
- Knowledge of rendering and presentation of jewellery designs.
- Experience in export-ready files for 3D printing and manufacturing.
- Ability to train and guide junior CAD designers.
- Knowledge of both traditional and contemporary jewellery designs.
