Your role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to develop and maintain critical analytics modules within the TAC analytics platform.



The majority of this role is developing code and visualizations using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Looker product to provide our customers with a productized and self-service capable analytics solution embedded in our product offerings.

Here’s How

● Create business data models (explores), leveraging a curated data model provided via GCP BigQuery or other SQL data store

● Understand and model relationships between data elements to ensure accurate results in dashboards and visualizations

● Create dimensions and measures to expose business data domain in a user-friendly interface, adhering to naming standards and consistency requirements

● Troubleshoot and validate results using SQL and other business application sources ● Collaborate with team members on optimizing data models for best fit and performance in the BI layer

● Triage and remediate quality assurance (QA) and customer issues related to BI artifacts

What you bring to this role

Technical Requirements

● Proven experience in GCP Looker (Looker Core, not Studio)

● LookML and User-defined Dashboard Expertise

● SQL development and core competency in modeling data relationships ● git & GitHub source control proficiency

Additional Technologies

● terraform use for templating, Looker extensions, CI/CD

● JIRA and Confluence for work item management and documentation

Required Skills & Experience

● Expert in all aspects of GCP Looker development

● Experience in other BI platforms a plus

● GCP BigQuery experience a plus

● Ability to gain expertise in multiple business data domains

● Problem-solving and application support capabilities

● Team-oriented

● Effective written and verbal communicator
