Business Consultant – ERP (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant – Manufacturing with strong domain expertise in manufacturing operations and business processes. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in production planning, procurement, inventory management, bill of materials (BOM), material requirements planning (MRP), shop floor operations, quality management, costing, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.

The role involves understanding client requirements, analysing existing manufacturing processes, identifying operational gaps, and recommending practical and scalable business solutions.

We are looking for professionals with strong industry exposure and practical manufacturing process knowledge. Candidates should have the ability to understand real-world production and operational challenges, engage with business stakeholders, map business processes, and recommend effective solutions. Experience with ERP platforms is considered an added advantage; however,



manufacturing industry expertise and business consulting capability will be the primary selection criteria.

Industry expertise is mandatory. ERP implementation exposure will be considered an added advantage.

Experience

- 6–12 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Consulting, Production Planning, or Manufacturing Business Process Management.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, engineering/manufacturing, automotive, electronics, machinery, or similar industries is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand end-to-end manufacturing business operations and processes.
- Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), process flows, functional documentation, and business process maps.
- Understand and document production workflows, material flows, and operational requirements.
- Support solution design, UAT, user training, and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support process optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in client workshops, requirement discussions, and solution presentations.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization and automation.




- Work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into solutions.

- Exposure to manufacturing digitization or process automation.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA (Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related specialization) is preferred.
