Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) is India's leading Flight Training Organisation and the primary training partner for the IndiGo Cadet Programme, building the next generation of commercial pilots for India’s fastest-growing airline. CAA operates flight training bases at Dhana and Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh) and a Ground Training School in Gurugram, with a fleet of modern trainer aircraft supported by multiple flight simulator devices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst at Chimes Aviation Academy, you will work closely with the flight operations, admissions, finance and instructor management teams to build, optimise and evolve the financial models, dashboards and operating processes that run the Academy. AI-native ways of working — using AI tools and automation as a default part of the job, not an add-on — are central to this role. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

- Identify and communicate with key stakeholders across CAA, including flight operations, admissions, finance and senior leadership
- Gather, review and analyse operational and financial data — cadet progression, fleet utilisation, cost metrics — using data analytics and AI-assisted tools to surface insight faster
- Facilitate the planning and preparation of the annual financial budget for CAA, engaging all key stakeholders across the flight bases and Ground Training School
- Carefully monitor the financial and operating plan, highlight variances (e.g. aircraft hours plan vs. actual, cost overruns) and engage relevant stakeholders to initiate remedial action
- Liaise between flight operations, admissions, maintenance, finance and instructor teams across Dhana, Neemuch and Gurugram




- Assess options for process improvement, including automating manual and recurring reporting through scripting and AI tools rather than relying on spreadsheets alone
- Maintain clear documentation of financial models, key assumptions, processes and operations for continuity and audit purposes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Academy, including on regulatory submissions and IndiGo-facing reporting
- Maintain CAA’s financial models and keep them updated for engagement with lenders, investors and strategic partners
- Prepare financial models based on both long-term (fleet and cadet cohort growth) and short-term (quarterly, seasonal) funding and operating needs.
- Conduct research and analyse business opportunities for CAA — current cadet programmes, fleet additions, partnerships — on a case-by-case basis, using AI tools to accelerate research and analysis

RequirementsSkills:

- AI-native mindset — uses AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) daily for research, analysis, drafting and coding, and is comfortable building or adapting scripts/automation to speed up recurring work. This is a critical requirement, not a nice-to-have.
- Ability to understand the flight training business and have an inquisitive learning mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and engage in debate with key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
- Excellent communication skills and clarity of thought
- Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Power BI/data visualisation tools; exposure to Python or SQL is a robust plus
- Proven ability to glean actionable insights from large and complex data sets

Qualifications Required:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in commerce, business studies or economics from an accredited university
- An MBA in Finance or a CFA would be an advantage
- A working knowledge of key Financial Ratios and their interpretation is a must
