About The Ro le
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team, focusing on managing the financial records of our US entities. This role offers a growth trajectory towards becoming a team lead as the company expands. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple related entities.
You will be responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and defensible financial records that can withstand CPA review and support tax filings. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on US accounting experience who enjoys working independently and proactively identifying and resolving financial discrepanci es.
The role involves direct interaction with the founder and other key stakeholders, providing an excellent opportunity to influence financial processes and contribute to the company's growth. As the business scales, your scope will broaden to include process standardization, SOP development, and eventually overseeing a small team.

Qualifica tions The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of practical experience in bookkeeping or accounting for US-based clients or entities. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential, along with a solid understanding of US GAAP and small-business accounting practices. Candidates should have prior experience managing multi-entity or group structures, including maintaining intercompany balances and reconciliations.
Educational qualifications may include CA, CA Inter (semi-qualified), CMA, or a B.Com/M.Com degree, with an emphasis on practical US client experience over formal credentials. Self-motivation, strong communication skills in English, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with workflow tools such as Bill.com, Ramp, and Gusto, payroll processing experience, knowledge of US tax filings like 1099s, and experience working with industries such as marketing, financial services, or real estate holding com panies.

Perform comprehensive bookkeeping for multiple related US entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconci
