Job Title: Bid Manager

Job Summary: For a prestegeous client, we are seeking an experienced Bid Manager with a strong background in managing bids and tenders, specifically on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other e-portals. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of hardware and network domains and possess the ability to drive end-to-end bid management processes, ensuring high-quality proposals that align with client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Bid Management: Lead and manage the entire bid process, from the initial opportunity identification to the final proposal submission on GeM and other e-portals.

· GeM and e-Portal Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of GeM and other relevant e-portals to identify, track, and respond to tenders, RFPs, and RFQs in the hardware and network domain.

· Proposal Development: Develop, compile, and deliver winning proposals and responses to RFPs/RFQs by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical, and finance departments.

· Domain Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge of hardware and network technologies to ensure that the proposals meet technical requirements and compliance standards.

· Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the hardware and network sectors, providing strategic insights for bid positioning.

· Compliance and Quality: Ensure all bid documents comply with the regulatory, legal, and company standards, maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

· Stakeholder Management:



Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors, to gather necessary information and build solid relationships.

· Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the bid process and develop strategies to mitigate them.

· Process Improvement: Continuously improve the bid management process by incorporating best practices, lessons learned, and feedback from previous bids.

Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

· Proven experience in bid management, specifically with GeM and other e-portals.

· Strong understanding of the hardware and network domain, including technical aspects.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in using bid management tools, MS Office Suite, and e-portals

Candidate company worked - should be from System integration background

Experience – 3-4 years in Bid Management and 7+ overall

GeM & e-procurement portals experience important

Government tenders experience important

Product experience – IT hardware bids – Laptops, desktops, servers, Networking products, all IT Infra related. Need a broad footprint. Not just limited to Laptops.

OEM relationships – Dell, HP & Lenovo, Cisco, Avaya etc. useful.

Understanding and exposure to the IT hardware space
