Berg Collective Coffee | Bengaluru Position: Barista Location: Bengaluru Experience: 0–2 years preferred; freshers with a passion for coffee may apply Employment Type: Full-time About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join Berg Collective Coffee. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with people, have an interest in coffee, and maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and service. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve hot and cold coffee beverages according to Berg Collective Coffee standards.
Prepare beverages such as Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Cold Coffee, Iced Coffee, Matcha and specialty beverages . Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, temperature and portion size. Operate and maintain the espresso machine, coffee grinder and other café equipment .
Grind coffee and follow correct brewing and extraction procedures. Handle milk steaming and latte preparation professionally. Prepare and serve beverages quickly during busy hours. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee counter, equipment and café work area .
Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices. Check stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, powders, cups and other beverage ingredients. Inform the manager about stock requirements and equipment issues.
Provide friendly and professional service to every customer. Understand the menu and confidently explain beverages to customers. Handle customer requests and complaints politely. Follow opening and closing procedures.
Minimise wastage and maintain proper portion control. Work closely with the restaurant and café team to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & RequirementsBasic knowledge of coffee and café operations. Good communication and customer-service skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work under pressure during busy periods. Good personal hygiene and grooming. Ability to work as part of a team. Punctual, responsible and disciplined. Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays. PreferredPrevious experience as a Barista/Café Staff .
Experience with espresso machines and coffee grinders. Knowledge of latte art. Knowledge of specialty coffee and brewing methods.
