About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to work directly alongside the CPA Partner.

This is a self-sufficient, client-facing role — the successful candidate will own the majority of the audit engagement lifecycle from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently execute audit testing and prepare complete, review-ready workpapers
- Identify outstanding items, open questions, and documentation gaps throughout the engagement
- Communicate directly with clients to request and follow up on needed documentation
- Manage multiple concurrent audit engagements across industries, including government, nonprofit, and corporate clients




- Take a lead role on more complex government and nonprofit engagements
- Collaborate closely with the engagement partner and audit staff to keep engagements on schedule
- Work primarily within AuditFile for engagement management

Requirements

- 6+ years of audit experience (public accounting preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong workpaper documentation and audit testing skills
- Experience with government and/or nonprofit audits strongly preferred
- Corporate audit experience
- Comfortable communicating directly with client
