- Job PurposeThe Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of industrial projects, ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, cost control, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong coordination between customers, sales, engineering, suppliers, manufacturing partners, installation teams, and service teams to successfully execute projects from order receipt through commissioning and handover.

- Key ResponsibilitiesA. Project Planning & Execution
- Take complete ownership of assigned projects from PO/order receipt to successful commissioning and handover.
- Prepare detailed project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Define project deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and critical path activities.
- Monitor project progress against agreed schedules and take corrective action when required.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, commissioning, and documentation activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the approved time, cost, quality, and scope.

B. Customer Coordination
- Act as the primary project contact for customers during project execution.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and regular progress-review meetings.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure technical and commercial commitments are properly communicated internally.
- Coordinate site surveys, technical discussions, inspections, installation, trials, and final acceptance.
- Prepare and submit project progress reports to customers.
- Manage customer expectations and resolve project-related issues professionally.

C. Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering teams for GA drawings, layouts, electrical drawings, mechanical designs, control architecture, safety systems, and technical documentation.
- Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Coordinate design changes and obtain necessary customer approvals.
- Identify technical risks, interface issues, and potential execution challenges at an early stage.
- Support engineering teams in developing practical and cost-effective solutions.

D. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with suppliers and technology partners for timely procurement and delivery.
- Track purchase orders,



manufacturing status, inspections, dispatches, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and address delays or quality issues.
- Coordinate with international partners, OEMs, and technology suppliers wherever required.
- Ensure materials and equipment received are as per approved specifications.

E. Site Installation & Commissioning
- Plan and coordinate site installation, erection, integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Mobilize appropriate manpower, tools, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Ensure installation activities are carried out according to approved drawings and safety procedures.
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, trial runs, performance testing, and customer acceptance.
- Ensure all punch points are closed before project handover.

F. Project Cost & Commercial Control
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Track project profitability, additional costs, variations, and scope changes.
- Identify potential cost overruns and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with the commercial/accounts team for billing milestones, payment follow-up, retention, and final settlement.
- Ensure additional customer requirements are properly documented and commercially evaluated before execution.

G. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure project execution complies with applicable industrial safety standards, customer specifications, statutory requirements, and OEM guidelines.
- Coordinate quality inspections and documentation.
- Ensure proper installation and commissioning records are maintained.
- Promote safe working practices at customer sites.
- Ensure project teams and subcontractors follow required EHS procedures.

H. Documentation & Handover
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of:
- Project execution documents
- GA/layout drawings
- Electrical/control documentation
- Test reports
- Inspection reports
- FAT/SAT documents
- Operation & maintenance manuals
- Warranty documents
- Training records
- As-built drawings
- Final project handover documents
- Obtain customer sign-off and formally close projects.

4. Project ScopeThe candidate may be responsible for projects involving:

- Industrial automation and robotics
- AGVs / AMRs and automated material handling
- Automated storage and retrieval systems
- EOT cranes and special-purpose cranes
- Material handling equipment
- Industrial safety barriers and pedestrian protection
- Forklift and MHE safety systems
- Dock safety and vehicle safety systems
- Blind-spot detection and traffic management systems




- Smart wheel chock and vehicle restraint systems
- Safety lighting and warning systems
- Customized lifting and ergonomic handling solutions
- Industry 4.0 / IoT-enabled solutions
- Integration of multiple safety and automation systems

7. Required QualificationsEducation:

- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering discipline.
- PMP / equivalent project-management certification will be an advantage.

Experience:

- 8–15 years of relevant experience in industrial project execution.
- Experience in automation, robotics, material handling, cranes, industrial safety, or machine integration is preferred.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.
