Assistant Production Manager Food Technologist

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Assistant Production Manager Food Technologist to take ownership of production planning, quality, productivity and shop-floor team management for our coffee and chocolate manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

- Prepare and implement daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Plan manpower, machines and materials to achieve output and dispatch targets.
- Lead shop-floor teams and ensure smooth, uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with Quality, R&D;, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.
- Review hourly production performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Quality & Food Safety

- Ensure products comply with approved formulations, specifications and SOPs.
- Oversee in-process quality checks, batch consistency and packaging quality.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, hygiene, food-safety and FSSAI requirements.
- Investigate deviations, rejections and customer complaints.




- Implement corrective and preventive actions and support audits.

Productivity & Team Leadership

- Improve production efficiency, capacity utilisation and product yield.
- Control wastage, rework, rejection, downtime and material consumption.
- Train, supervise and evaluate production executives, operators and helpers.
- Maintain accurate production, quality and performance reports.
- Support recent-product trials, process standardisation and commercial scale-up.

Candidate Profile

- B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including team-management responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, process improvement and food safety.
- Proven ability to manage shop-floor teams and consistently deliver production targets.
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
