About the Role

Join our Core Engineering R&D; team to help design and evolve the architecture of Subex's flagship products. You'll work closely with senior architects, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions a hands-on role suited to a strong Java engineer ready to grow into a broader architectural remit.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect scalable, high-performance, secure Java-based enterprise applications
- Translate functional/non-functional requirements into technical designs
- Define coding standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices
- Conduct design and code reviews for quality, performance, and security
- Evaluate frameworks and tools suited to product needs
- Partner with DevOps/QA on CI/CD, deployment, and testing




- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Mentor developers and align architecture across teams

Required Skills & Experience

- 610 years in software engineering with strong Core Java / J2EE foundations
- Experience building enterprise-grade, distributed, microservices-based applications
- Solid knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, REST API design, and integration patterns
- Hands-on with relational/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ and caching (Redis)
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Solid grasp of design patterns, data structures, and system design
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Maven/Gradle
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; experience mentoring engineers

Education Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
