Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Manager - IT Procurementto join our Procurement team. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, and ensuring timely availability of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with organizational policies.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of procurement processes, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive value through effective sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, vendor evaluation,
negotiation, purchase order creation, and closure.
•Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and business requirements.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
•Support cost optimization initiatives through effective negotiation and market analysis.
•Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
•Raise purchase requisitions (PRs), process purchase orders (POs), and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
•Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and resolve procurement-related issues.
•Conduct market research to identify recent suppliers, pricing trends, and opportunities for savings.
•Maintain procurement records, contracts, vendor documentation, and reports.
•Ensure adherence to procurement processes, approval workflows, and audit requirements.
•Support procurement reporting, MIS preparation, spend analysis and material code creation/management.
Required Skills & Competencies:
•Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle and sourcing processes.
•Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination.
•Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement tools/software.
•Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/other procurement platforms) will be preferred.
Qualification:
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business
Administration, or related field.
•MBA in Supply Chain/Operations/Procurement will be an added advantage.
Experience:
•3–6 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Sourcing/Vendor Management.
•Experience in managing indirect/direct procurement activities preferred.
