Contract
Role purpose
Support community mobilisation and participation, strengthen connections between families and programme services, and support children, adolescents and youth to access education, protection, health, skilling, livelihood and government services.
Role and responsibilities
- Map and maintain contact with children, adolescents, youth, parents/caregivers, community leaders and community groups.
- Mobilise eligible participants for Centre and community-based activities.
- Identify children, adolescents and families requiring programme services or referrals.
- Support enrolment, attendance, follow-up and retention.
- Facilitate age-appropriate life-skills and awareness sessions under facilitator guidance.
- Support referrals and linkages to government schemes, schools, AWCs, health facilities and training institutes.
- Support child groups, youth groups, parent/adolescent groups and other community structures.
- Promote awareness on child rights, protection, health, nutrition, education, WASH, digital safety, gender equality and related issues.
- Identify and promptly report safeguarding or protection concerns.
- Support campaigns, meetings, outreach drives and community-led initiatives.
- Maintain outreach, attendance, referral and follow-up records.
- Collect community feedback and support feedback/complaints mechanisms.
- Participate in training, supervision and review meetings.

adolescents and youth.
Candidate specification
- Experience: Relevant community engagement, youth work, volunteering or social-sector experience is desirable. Solid local community knowledge and local-language communication are important.
- Essential Qualification: Minimum 12th standard
Safeguarding
Child safeguarding level required/ appropriate for the role:
Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore, a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.
Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a regulated position (accountant, barrister, solicitor, legal executive); therefore, a police check will be required.
Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
