Position Overview

Lingaya s Vidyapeeth invites applications from qualified, enthusiastic, and research-oriented candidates for the position of Assistant Professor (Finance) . The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, engaging in research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic and institutional development in accordance with UGC Regulations and University policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Finance, including Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, Investment Analysis, Security Analysis, Financial Markets, Banking, Taxation, International Finance, and related subjects.
- Develop and update course content in accordance with UGC Regulations, NEP 2020, and industry requirements.
- Mentor students in academics, projects, internships, and career development.
- Undertake quality research and publish papers in UGC CARE-listed, Scopus, or Web of Science-indexed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, Board of Studies, and academic committees.
- Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs),



and industry interaction activities.
- Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, admissions, examination, and other institutional activities.
- Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the University from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor (Finance)

- Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com.) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is mandatory.
- Masters Degree in Commerce (M.Com.) with Finance specialization or Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Finance specialization from a recognized University.
- Ph.D. in Management is mandatory. Candidates who are currently pursuing (ongoing) a Ph.D. in Management may also apply.
- Candidates should have a strong academic record and demonstrate a passion for teaching and research.
- NET/SET qualification shall be as per applicable UGC Regulations, wherever applicable.

Desirable Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Banking, Investment, Taxation, and Financial Markets.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and relevant software such as MS Excel, SPSS, R, or other analytical tools.
- Excellent teaching, communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Research orientation with evidence of publications and participation in academic conferences.
- Industry exposure will be an added advantage.
- Ability to contribute to institutional development, curriculum innovation, accreditation processes, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Commitment to academic excellence, ethics, innovation, and student-centric learning.
