Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mine Planning & Geotechnical skilled to support and lead mine planning activities for our mining operations at Udaipur, Rajasthan. The role will be responsible for short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine planning, mine design, production planning, geotechnical assessment, and coordination with mining, geology, survey, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and monitor short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans in line with production requirements and approved mining plans.
- Prepare mine layouts, pit designs, excavation sequences, development plans, and production schedules.
- Carry out mine planning based on geological, geotechnical, survey, and production data.
- Develop optimum mining sequences to maximize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
- Conduct geotechnical assessments for pit slopes, benches, highwalls, dumps, and other mine structures.
- Monitor slope stability and recommend appropriate slope angles, bench parameters, and corrective measures.
- Coordinate with Geology and Survey teams for geological modelling, reserve/resource estimation, mine surveys, and updated mine plans.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term production and development plans.
- Monitor actual production and mine development against planned targets and recommend corrective actions.
- Support preparation/revision of Mining Plans, Mine Closure Plans, Progressive Mine Closure Plans, and statutory technical documents.




- Ensure mine planning activities comply with applicable IBM, DGMS, DMG Rajasthan, environmental and other statutory requirements.
- Evaluate mine economics, equipment requirements, production capacity, and operational constraints.
- Provide technical support to mine operations for efficient and safe implementation of mine plans.
- Prepare planning reports, MIS, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Coordinate with consultants, statutory authorities, and internal departments wherever required.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
- M.Tech/M.Sc. in Mining Engineering, Mine Planning, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field will be an advantage.
- Relevant statutory certification as applicable to the mine will be preferred.

Experience

- 8–15+ years of relevant experience in Mine Planning / Technical Services / Geotechnical / Mining Operations.
- Strong experience in short-term and long-term mine planning.
- Experience in open-cast mining and preparation/review of mining plans will be preferred.
- Experience in Rajasthan mining operations will be an added advantage.
