ROLE The Assistant Manager – Retail Operations will be responsible for managing and improving day-to-day operations across existing retail stores, driving store-level sales performance, and ensuring consistent execution of company standards.

The role will work closely with the Founder & CEO, Store Managers, Head Office teams, mall management, and external vendors to identify operational issues and opportunities that can support business growth, customer experience, and profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Store Performance

- Drive store sales against monthly and quarterly targets.
- Track sales, footfall, conversion, and other key performance metrics.
- Identify performance gaps and work with Store Managers on corrective actions.
- Drive upselling, customer retention, promotions, and festive sales initiatives.

Retail Operations

- Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, opening/closing, stock availability, hygiene, and upkeep.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, customer service, and visual merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular store visits and operational audits.




- Resolve day-to-day store issues and ensure timely closure.

Mall & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with mall management on store operations, compliance, timings, signage, maintenance, and other requirements.
- Liaise with vendors and facility teams for repairs, maintenance, and store upkeep.
- Ensure timely resolution of mall and vendor-related issues.

Inventory & Logistics

- Coordinate with HO, warehouse, and logistics teams for stock replenishment and inter-store transfers.
- Monitor stock availability and discrepancies.
- Ensure timely resolution of inventory and logistics-related issues.

Team Support

- Support Store Managers with attendance, rosters, manpower planning, and performance tracking.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management requirements in coordination with HR.
- Help improve team productivity, discipline, and customer service.

Reporting & Process Improvement

- Maintain regular reports on sales, targets, footfall, staffing, stock, and store performance.
- Highlight operational gaps and escalations to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve store processes, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Support recent store openings, renovations, audits, and retail expansion initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

- 4–6 years of experience in retail operations, store management, or area operations.
- Experience handling multiple stores will be preferred.
- Experience in fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, D2C, e-commerce, or consumer brands is an advantage.
- Strong sales, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with mall management, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently between stores and provide hands-on support.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and basic reporting.
- Strong ownership, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
