Job Summary

Environ Care Products is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Production to manage and optimize day-to-day manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in plastic processing and manufacturing, particularly in Injection Moulding, Extrusion, and related production processes, preferably within the Home Appliances, Automotive, or Plastic Components industry.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, improving machine utilization, controlling production costs, reducing rejection and downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets as per customer requirements.
- Manage production operations involving Injection Moulding, Extrusion, and other plastic processing/manufacturing processes.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, moulds, materials, and other resources.
- Monitor OEE, machine productivity, cycle time, rejection, rework, downtime, and production efficiency.
- Ensure production as per approved SOPs, work instructions, process parameters, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC, Stores, Purchase, and other departments for smooth production operations.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve productivity.




- Reduce rejection, scrap, rework, material wastage, and machine downtime.
- Monitor machine and process parameters and ensure they remain within defined specifications.
- Support mould trials, process trials, new product development, and process validation.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room/Mould Maintenance team for mould-related issues and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper line clearance, changeover, start-up approval, and production documentation.
- Analyze production-related problems using Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Implement Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor manpower deployment, attendance, skill levels, and productivity.
- Train, guide, and motivate production supervisors, operators, and workmen.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, quality requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain proper production records, process sheets, checklists, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Work closely with management to achieve cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and efficiency targets.
