1digitalstack.ai is Looking for:**** : Assistant Manager Finance Role Overview 1DigitalStack is looking for a seasoned and hands-on Assistant Manager Finance to lead end-to-end finance operations, accounting, compliance, and financial control for the organization.
This role will act as the single point of ownership for financial governance, reporting, audit management, and statutory compliance while partnering closely with leadership on budgeting, performance tracking, and business planning.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant Manager - Finance to oversee taxation, financial close, compliance, payroll, and Indian accounting functions. This role requires strong expertise in Indian taxation, RBI compliance, transfer pricing, and consolidation, along with the ability to manage global reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- India Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Own end-to-end compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, corporate income tax, advance tax, and other statutory returns.
- Monitor tax positions, identify compliance risks, and ensure timely resolution of notices, assessments, and tax queries.
- Coordinate with tax authorities, statutory consultants, and external advisors on tax matters.
- Establish appropriate tax controls, review processes, and compliance calendars to ensure zero missed deadlines.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with strong focus on accuracy,
completeness, and statutory compliance.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP and IFRS, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, Companies Act requirements, and internal financial reporting policies.
- Lead group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails for key accounting judgments and transactions.
- Payroll & Employee Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour and employment regulations.
- Review payroll controls, statutory deductions, reconciliations, and periodic filings.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll vendors, consultants, and authorities on employee compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in labour and employment legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Transfer Pricing Compliance
- Own the organization's transfer pricing compliance framework for cross-border and related-party transactions.
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing documentation in accordance with Indian regulations and OECD guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate benchmarking, intercompany agreements, pricing policies, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax advisors, and transfer pricing consultants for TP compliance and assessments.
- Monitor related-party transactions and ensure timely completion of applicable reporting and filings.
- Audit, Internal Controls & Statutory Compliance
- Lead and coordinate statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and other regulatory reviews.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for auditors, regulators, tax authorities, banking partners, and external consultants.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations, control deficiencies, and compliance gaps.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5-10 years of experience in finance, taxation, and compliance, with exposure to international accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws, RBI regulations, and GAAP/IFRS.
- Experience in managing payroll and employee compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
