Asst. Manager- Machining, Engine PU Responsibilities &
- Key Deliverables 1. Creating reports and records of production processes, tools issues performance, and inventory; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
- Execute daily engine assembly operations as per production plan.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Torque charts, and control plans.
- Monitor station-cycle time, line balancing, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate material availability between Cross finctional Teams- SCM/CDMM/Stores.
- Ensure zero stoppages related to manpower, material, or machine issues.
- Conduct daily safety audits and ensure action closure.
- Maintain daily production reports (DPR), attendance, downtime logs.
- Prepare actiona plans for Quality reports – defects, rework, torque failures.
- Update training records, skill matrix, and process audit scores.
- Supervising and directing the daily activities of production lines workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.
- Training current hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Work Measurement Techniques- MOST, Time and Motion Study 14. Resource planning for the department 15. Problem solving approach and ability to examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder. 16.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems 17. Processes limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy.
