We're a fast-growing D2C fashion group running two labels: an affordable, trend-led womenswear brand priced under ₹2,000, and a premium, minimal kidswear brand for parents of kids aged 4 to 12, priced ₹1,000 to ₹4,000.
We're looking for a designer who can move fluidly between two very different customers: a value-driven, trend-chasing womenswear shopper and a discerning parent buying premium kidswear, without diluting either brand. You'll design full seasonal collections for both labels, from concept and trend research through to tech packs and sample approval, working closely with the founder and our in-house production team.
What you'll do
- Design seasonal collections for both a fast-fashion womenswear brand and a premium kidswear brand, keeping each on-brand and commercially viable
- Research trends, competitor ranges and marketplace bestsellers to shape range plans
- Create mood boards, concept decks and design references for each drop
- Build and maintain tech packs: flats, specs, construction notes, BOMs and trims
- Select fabrics, trims, prints and colour palettes within brand price points
- Coordinate sampling with pattern masters and tailors, from first sample to sealed sample
- Attend fit sessions and translate fit comments into pattern and spec revisions
- Support size grading, especially across a wide S to 6XL size range
- Track sample and production timelines, keeping approvals moving with the unit
- Provide fabric details, styling notes and content direction for website and marketplace listings
- Work with the production and merchandising team to align designs with cost targets and margins
Who we're looking for
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of experience designing for womenswear and/or kidswear; solid fresh graduates with a sharp portfolio also welcome
- Ability to design for two distinct price points and customer mindsets: fast, trend-led and mass market, and premium, considered and covetable
- Strong knowledge of fabrics and vendors is a must, including fabric behaviour, sourcing options and reliable supplier relationships
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and pattern-making across categories
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop for tech packs and design decks; comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets
- An eye for colour, print and trend spotting, backed by commercial sense on cost and sellability
- Strong attention to detail and organised follow-up with suppliers, tailors and the production unit
- Willing to work on-site in Noida/Delhi NCR
- Good written English; Hindi helpful for working with the unit
