Role Description The Assistant Chief Engineer is a full time, on-site role based at Rudraksh Club & Resort in Ujjain. This role supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across the resort. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, responding to repair requests, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The Assistant Chief

Engineer collaborates with other departments to minimize downtime, optimize energy usage, and maintain guest areas, back-of-house facilities,



and outdoor spaces in excellent working condition. The role also involves monitoring vendor performance, managing maintenance documentation, and contributing to budget planning for engineering and facility improvements.

Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in hospitality or commercial facilities.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and repair of building equipment and utilities.
- Ability to supervise maintenance teams, coordinate work schedules, and ensure safe work practices.
- Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental and energy management practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced resort environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in hotels, resorts, or similar hospitality settings is highly beneficial.
