ROLE SUMMARY The Assistant City Lead supports the City Lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations, quality, and performance of all Sunshine centers within the city. This role acts as the right hand to the City Lead — stepping in to manage center-level issues, coordinate across center heads, and ensure consistent standards of care quality and parent experience across every location. It‘s a strong stepping-stone role for someone building toward a City Lead or regional leadership position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Multi-Center Operations Support

- Support the City Lead in monitoring daily operations across all centers in the city
- Visit centers regularly to check on staffing, therapy room quality, and facility upkeep
- Act as point of escalation for center heads when the City Lead is unavailable
- Help coordinate resources (staff, supplies, maintenance) between centers as needs shift

People & Staffing

- Support hiring, onboarding, and training coordination for center-level staff (therapists, caregivers, center heads)
- Help manage staffing coverage across centers, including backup coverage for absences
- Support performance check-ins and coaching for center heads alongside the City Lead
- Assist in building a strong culture and retention across the city‘s teams

Parent & Family Experience

- Help resolve escalated parent concerns or complaints across centers
- Support consistent communication standards (updates, events, feedback loops) across all locations
- Monitor parent satisfaction and enrollment retention trends citywide

Admissions & Enrollment Support

- Support the City Lead in tracking the enrollment numbers, waitlists, and capacity across centers




- Help coordinate admissions processes and tours where needed
- Assist with local outreach or community partnership efforts to drive enrollment

Data & Reporting

- Track key operational metrics across centers (attendance, staffing ratios, enrollment, incident reports, parent satisfaction) using Excel
- Build and maintain dashboards/reports to help the City Lead spot trends quickly
- Use AI tools to speed up reporting, summarization, and day-to-day analysis
- Prepare summaries and reports for the City Lead and leadership team
- Identify trends or issues across centers and suggest fixes

REQUIREMENTS

- 3–5 years of experience in multi-site retail operations, educational institutions like play schools, or child development centers (experience as a Store/Center Head is a robust plus)
- Strong Excel skills — comfortable with data analysis, pivot tables, and building reports
- Comfortable using AI tools in daily workflow (reporting, communication, analysis)
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities across different physical locations
- Excellent people skills — with staff, parents, and center leadership
- Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Willing to travel locally between centers regularly
- Bachelor‘s degree preferred (not always required depending on experience)
