Role Description The Area Sales Manager role is a full-time, in office position based in Madhya Pradesh, India. The person in this role will oversee sales operations within the assigned territory, including managing distributor and retailer relationships, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring product availability across channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include achieving sales targets, implementing promotional activities, reviewing sales performance data, and identifying opportunities for market expansion.

Manager will collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and key account teams to execute trade schemes and brand initiatives effectively. The role also involves regular field visits, competitor analysis, team coordination, and timely reporting to leadership on market trends and business performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong sales and business development skills, including territory management, channel management, and target achievement.




- Candidates should possess relationship management skills, such as stakeholder engagement with distributors, retailers, and key accounts, as well as negotiation and networking abilities.
- Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, including data-driven decision-making, sales forecasting, and proficiency in using MS Excel or similar tools.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Candidates should possess planning and execution skills, including route planning, market visit scheduling, and implementation of trade promotions and merchandising standards.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; prior experience in FMCG or food products sales; knowledge of the Madhya Pradesh market; and a valid driving license for regular field travel.
