About the Role: Elixir Extracts is looking for an experienced Animal Nutrition R&D; and New Product Development professional to develop innovative herbal and phytogenic-based solutions for animal nutrition and productivity.

1. Animal Nutrition Product Development

Identify opportunities to develop innovative products for poultry, dairy, aquaculture, livestock and other animal nutrition segments. Develop herbal and phytogenic solutions aimed at improving: Animal growth and development Protein/meat production Milk production and quality Egg production and quality Feed conversion efficiency Gut health and digestion Immunity and disease resistance Overall animal health and productivity Develop products based on herbal extracts, phytogenics, botanical actives, nutritional blends and functional ingredients. Develop products that address specific customer and farm-level challenges.

2. Herbal Extract & Phytogenic Formulation

Identify suitable herbs and botanical ingredients based on their nutritional and functional benefits. Develop and optimise herbal extracts and phytogenic formulations for animal nutrition applications. Work on combinations/synergies of multiple botanical extracts to achieve targeted nutritional or physiological benefits.

Develop suitable dosage forms and delivery systems for incorporation into feed or drinking-water applications, wherever applicable. Optimise formulations for efficacy, stability, palatability, compatibility and cost-effectiveness.

3. R&D; Trials & Efficacy Validation

Design and execute laboratory, in-vitro and field-level trials for developed products. Coordinate with veterinarians, animal nutritionists, farms, universities and external research organisations for product validation. Evaluate parameters such as growth rate, feed conversion, milk yield, egg production, gut health, immunity and other relevant performance indicators.

Analyse trial data and use findings to improve product formulations.



Generate technical and scientific evidence supporting product efficacy.

4. Recent Product Development

Lead the complete NPD cycle from concept ingredient selection formulation laboratory trials field validation scale-up commercialisation. Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities. Convert customer requirements into differentiated product concepts. Develop product specifications, formulations, application guidelines and technical dossiers. Identify opportunities for customised products for specific animal species or applications.

5. Commercialisation & Scale-Up

Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Sales and Business Development teams. Transfer successful laboratory formulations to pilot and commercial manufacturing. Optimise processes for extraction, blending, drying and formulation. Support product costing and commercial feasibility. Provide technical support during customer trials, sampling and product launch. Troubleshoot product and process issues during scale-up and commercial production.

6. Technical & Regulatory Support

Ensure products comply with applicable animal feed, feed additive and animal nutrition regulations. Develop raw-material and finished-product specifications. Establish quality parameters for botanical extracts and finished formulations. Prepare technical dossiers, product specifications, COAs and supporting scientific documentation. Support regulatory submissions and customer technical requirements.

7. Technical Marketing & Customer Support

Develop technical literature, product brochures, presentations and application guides. Work with Sales and Marketing to communicate product benefits effectively. Support customer meetings and technical discussions. Present product science and trial results to customers and channel partners. Track emerging trends in phytogenic feed additives, herbal animal nutrition and natural alternatives to conventional feed additives.
