Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic

- Stay at the technical edge of agronomy and crop protection/nutrition relevant to field development, and apply emerging knowledge to trial design and product positioning.

2. Operational Trials & Product Development

- Field-validate current formulations developed by the internal R&D; team ahead of launch, and run a structured feedback loop on efficacy, crop response and phytotoxicity back to R&D.;
- Supervise the CRO bio-efficacy programme (protocol compliance, site selection, data quality) without duplicating CRO-run studies; run dealer and key-farmer demo plots directly.
- Own trial data collect, validate and analyse it, and turn findings into field-ready recommendations and the modern Package of Practices (PoP).

3. Operational Farmer Engagement & Launch Support

- Conduct demonstrations and village meetings that establish product performance and educate farmers.
- Provide in-field crop advisory — diagnostic support for pest attacks, nutrient deficiencies and diseases at the farm.
- Support new-product launches with Key Farmers, and equip the field sales team with product knowledge,



technical bulletins and competitor differentiation.

4. Operational — Market Intelligence

- Report field performance, competitor activity and pest dynamics back to R&D; and marketing with structured, evidence-based feedback.

5. People & Collaboration

- Coordinate with field officers (TSEs/TSMs) to keep trials, demos and market-development activities on protocol, and collaborate closely with R&D; and CRO partners.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture (Agronomy, Entomology or Plant Pathology preferred).
- 3–5 years in agri-inputs — crop protection, crop nutrition or biostimulants — in a field development, technical or agronomy role.
- Hands-on with field trials, demonstrations and farmer training; sound practical diagnosis of pest, disease and nutrient problems.
- Working knowledge of Karnataka cropping systems (paddy, tomato, chilli, horticulture); disciplined with trial data and reporting.
- Fluent in Kannada and English; own two-wheeler and valid licence; comfortable with extensive rural travel.
