Role Description The Admissions Counselor is a full-time, in office role based at Narayana Group of Schools in Siliguri. The role involves engaging with prospective students and families, explaining academic programs and school offerings, and guiding them through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment. Daily responsibilities include responding to admissions queries, conducting campus tours and counseling sessions, coordinating entrance assessments or interviews, and maintaining accurate records of applications and follow-ups.

The counselor collaborates with academic and administrative staff to ensure a smooth admissions experience and supports outreach activities such as school events, information sessions, and local marketing initiatives.



The role also requires meeting admissions targets while upholding the school’s standards of integrity, transparency, and student-focused guidance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide courteous, timely, and helpful support throughout the admissions process.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to proactively follow up with leads, present school programs persuasively, and help convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience, such as familiarity with school curricula, student counseling, or academic processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management; comfort working with admissions software or CRM tools is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries and applications simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages relevant to Siliguri is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in school admissions, counseling, or customer-facing roles in the education sector is preferred.
