· To look after admissions and all related correspondence for patients getting admitted during the night shift.
· To coordinate between the Casualty Medical Officer and patients’ relatives.
· To take daily rounds of all admitted patients during the night shift and assist them by resolving their concerns and problems.
· To look after the financial aspects of paying-category patients.
· To inform patients’ relatives about the necessity of submitting all required documents for panel patients.
· To act as a mediator between patients’ relatives and the team of doctors in case of critically ill patients or medical emergencies.
· To ensure the readiness of discharge files for patients who wish to leave early in the morning and facilitate smooth discharge procedures.
· To coordinate with nursing staff regarding any difficulties faced during patient treatment at night.
· To coordinate with the Patient Relationship Officer regarding issues that remain unresolved during the night shift and need discussion with top management.
· To check the availability and attendance of housekeeping staff and security personnel during the night shift.
· To be responsible for maintaining discipline among staff present during the night shift.
· To ensure the smooth functioning of all hospital operations during the night shift.
To report any major incident, emergency, or operational issue to the concerned authority immediately.
