NTo manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely accounting entries, support statutory compliance, reconciliations, vendor payments, budgeting, and assist in the preparation of financial and management reports.
NKey Responsibilities
n1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Record day-to-dayaccounting transactions in Tally.
N
- Prepare and post journal entries, payment entries, receipt entries, purchase and sales entries.
N
- Maintain accurate booksof accounts and supporting documentation.
N
- Ensure proper ledger classification and accounting treatment.
N
- Review and reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
N
n2. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
N
n
- Verify vendor invoices with supporting documents and approvals.
N
- Check GST, TDS and other applicable statutory requirements on invoices.
N
- Prepare vendor payment statements and payment proposals.
N
- Reconcile vendor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
N
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
N
n3. Accounts Receivable & Collections
N
n
- Record and reconcile customer/student receipts.
N
- Monitor outstanding receivables and prepare ageing reports.
N
- Follow up with concerned teams for collection-related issues.
N
- Perform customer/student ledger reconciliations.
N
n4. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
N
n
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
N
- Identify and resolve unreconciled transactions.
N
- Perform inter-company and inter-unit reconciliations.
N
- Reconcile major balancesheet and income statement ledgers.
N
n5. GST & TDS Compliance Support
N
n
- Assist in GST reconciliation and return preparation.
N
- Verify input tax creditand reconcile purchase data with GST records.
N
- Assist with TDS calculations, deductions and reconciliations.
N
- Support preparation of TDS returns such as 24Q and 26Q.
N
- Ensure proper accounting of RCM transactions wherever applicable.
N
n6. Budgeting & Financial Planning
N

- Assist in preparation of annual budgets.
N
- Collect and consolidatebudget requirements from different departments/cost centres.
N
- Track actual expenditure against approved budgets.
N
- Prepare budget vs. actual variance reports.
N
- Highlight significant variances and support the Finance Manager in analysing the reasons.
N
- Assist in preparing periodic forecasts and financial projections.
N
n7. Month-End & Year-End Closing
N

- Assist in monthlyclosing activities.
N
- Prepare provisions, accruals and adjustment entries.
N
- Ensure all income and expenses are accounted for in the correct period.
N
- Support year-end closing and finalisation of accounts.
N
n8. MIS & Reporting
N

- Prepare regular MIS reports as required by management.
N
- Prepare ageing reports,expense reports, budget vs. actual reports and reconciliation statements.
N
- Provide accounting dataand analysis to the Finance Manager.
N
- Support budgeting,
forecasting and variance analysis.
N
n9. Audit & Statutory Requirements

- Provide required documents and schedules for statutory, internal and tax audits.
N
- Coordinate with auditors for routine information and clarifications.
N
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
N
- Assist in resolving audit observations.

n10. Documentation & Internal Controls

- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.

- Follow established finance policies and approval processes.
N
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.

- Identify discrepancies and report them to the reporting manager.

nRequired Skills

- Valuable knowledge ofaccounting principles and bookkeeping.

- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime.

- Working knowledge of GST and TDS.

- Good understanding of bank, vendor and ledger reconciliation.

- Ability to analyse accounting data and identify discrepancies.

nEducational Qualification
N

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.

- CA Inter / CMA Inter qualification would be an added advantage.

nExperience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

- Experience in education, services, or multi-entity organisations would be an advantage.
