Founded in 2023 in Guwahati, Assam, by a mother–daughter duo, the brand focuses on creating custom and curated pieces that blend tradition with everyday practicality. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Guwahati. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and cash accounts, and monitoring inventory and cost of goods sold relevant to jewellery and accessories.
The role will involve preparing GST and other statutory filings, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will also assist in budgeting, cash flow management, and providing financial reports and insights to support pricing, procurement, and strategic decisions for the jewellery business.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in tax and compliance, such as GST, TDS, and statutory filings, with familiarity with Indian financial regulations.
- Experience with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis.
- Ability to manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow in a product-based retail or jewellery environment.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, design, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; CA/ICWA or similar qualified qualification is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in retail, luxury goods, or jewellery accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
