Role Description The Academic Counsellor will provide individualized guidance to students on academic pathways, course selections, and exam preparation strategies in a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur. Daily responsibilities include meeting with students and families, understanding their academic goals, and recommending suitable programs or institutions. The role involves maintaining accurate counselling records, tracking student progress, and following up regularly to ensure learners stay on their chosen path.
The Academic
Counsellor will conduct information sessions, workshops, and presentations on academic planning, entrance exams,
and career options. Collaboration with faculty, administrative staff, and external education partners is essential to ensure consistent, high-quality support for all students.
Qualifications
- Robust counselling and mentoring abilities, with the capacity to understand student needs and provide clear, structured academic guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
- Organizational and record-keeping skills to manage appointments, maintain student files, and track academic progress effectively.
- Knowledge of school, college, and competitive examination pathways, along with familiarity with current education trends and career options.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and online tools for scheduling, documentation, and virtual information sharing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field; a master’s degree or formal counselling certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Jaipur, collaborate within a team environment, and uphold a non-discriminatory, learner-centric approach.
