Academic Counsellor

About the Role

We are looking for a Academic Counsellor who can understand students', clients and institutions' requirements, explain academic programs and career opportunities, conduct counselling sessions, and support the organization in converting enquiries into academic engagements.

The role involves interacting with students, parents, schools, colleges, and institutions, understanding their academic and career needs, recommending suitable programs, and coordinating with internal academic and operations teams to ensure a smooth student experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Admissions

- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, internships, projects, workshops, and career-oriented opportunities.
- Understand students' academic interests, career goals, and requirements.
- Recommend suitable programs based on the student's needs and interests.
- Conduct counselling sessions through calls, meetings, and direct interactions.
- Follow up with enquiries, leads, and prospective students.
- Support the admission and enrollment process.
- Achieve assigned admission and conversion targets.

1. Institutional & Business Development

- Develop relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and educational institutions.
- Generate leads through calls, meetings, networking, institutional visits, and outreach activities.
- Support academic tie-ups, workshops, industrial visits, internships, projects, and other institutional programs.
- Coordinate with institutions to understand their academic and training requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective institutions.

1. Program Presentation & Promotion





- Develop a strong understanding of the company's courses, academic programs, technologies, and services.
- Explain technical and academic concepts in a simple and student-friendly manner.
- Conduct course presentations, orientation sessions, counselling sessions, and demonstrations.
- Promote relevant programs based on student and institutional requirements.
- Support exhibitions, education fairs, career events, seminars, and other promotional activities.

1. Documentation & Follow-up

- Maintain accurate records of student enquiries, leads, counselling sessions, admissions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and institutional communication when required.
- Maintain regular updates on admission and lead pipelines.
- Prepare reports on counselling activities, conversions, and institutional engagements.
- Ensure timely follow-up with students, parents, and institutions.

1. Internal Coordination

- Act as a bridge between students/institutions and internal academic, technical, and operations teams.
- Coordinate course schedules, demonstrations, workshops, training programs, and other academic requirements.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up throughout the student enrollment journey.




- Collect student and institutional feedback and communicate it to the relevant internal teams.

- Good knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Ability to prepare professional presentations and documents.
- Willingness to travel for institutional visits, counselling sessions, exhibitions, seminars, and business development activities.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Candidates with backgrounds in Education, Engineering, Technology, Management, Psychology, or related fields will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in student counselling, admissions, academic coordination, sales, or business development will be preferred.

Experience
- Freshers with strong communication skills, confidence, and an interest in education and counselling may also be considered.

Pay: ₹10,387.14 - ₹23,451.89 per month
