Job Description – Staff Nurse

Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing / Clinical Services
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Nursing In-Charge

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and competent Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, assisting doctors, maintaining clinical records, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to patients according to established clinical standards.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Prepare patients for investigations, surgeries, and other procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
- Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and patient-safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, medication, and basic health care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate first aid and nursing interventions.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of medical equipment.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses,



technicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Follow hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration with the appropriate State Nursing Council.
- Relevant hospital/clinical experience preferred; freshers may also be considered depending on the position.

Experience: 0–5 years, depending on the position

Salary: 14,000 - 20,000

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
