Role Summary

The SAP S/4HANA Developer (ABAP/Fiori) is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP S/4HANA applications using contemporary ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, CDS Views, OData Services, RAP, and SAP BTP technologies. The role involves working closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions across SAP transformation, implementation, and AMS engagements.

Key ResponsibilitiesSAP ABAP Development

- Design and develop custom SAP solutions using ABAP on HANA.
- Build and support RICEF objects:
- Reports (ALV, Interactive Reports)
- Interfaces (IDOC, BAPI, RFC, Proxy)
- Conversions (LSMW, BDC)
- Enhancements (BADI, User Exits)
- Forms (Adobe Forms, SmartForms)

- Perform custom code remediation during ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
- Optimize application and SQL performance using SAP HANA best practices.

SAP Fiori / UI5 Development

- Develop custom SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications using JavaScript, XML, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Build applications using Fiori Elements and SAP Smart Controls.
- Extend and customize standard SAP Fiori applications.
- Configure and manage SAP Fiori Launchpad catalogs, groups, roles, and spaces.
- Deliver responsive and user-friendly applications aligned with SAP UX standards.

SAP S/4HANA Technical Development

- Develop and enhance:
- CDS Views
- OData Services
- AMDP
- RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
- ABAP OO

- Enable Fiori applications through CDS- and OData-based services.
- Apply Clean Core development principles and cloud-ready architecture.

Integration Development

- Develop integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Support interfaces using:
- OData
- REST/SOAP APIs
- IDOCs
- BAPIs
- RFCs





- Collaborate with integration and middleware teams on SAP BTP, PI/PO, and third-party integrations.

Testing & Deployment

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, SIT, and UAT support.
- Support code reviews, transport management, and deployment activities.
- Participate in cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Technical Leadership

- Collaborate with functional consultants to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare technical design documents and development specifications.
- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards.
- Support estimations, solution design, and technical workshops.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- Minimum 1-2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
- SAP ABAP and/or SAP Fiori certification preferred.
