JOB DESCRIPTION STORE OFFICER

Department: Stores
Location: Tarapur MIDC, Boisar, Maharashtra
Industry: API / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Experience: 2–5 Years in API / Pharmaceutical / Chemical Manufacturing Industry
Qualification: Any Graduate; Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Stores or relevant field preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day activities of Raw Material, Packing Material and Finished Goods stores.
2. Receive, verify and physically inspect materials against Purchase Orders, invoices and delivery documents.
3. Ensure proper GRN preparation and system entries for all received materials.
4. Maintain proper stock records, bin cards and inventory registers.
5. Ensure proper identification, labeling and segregation of materials as per GMP requirements.
6. Maintain quarantine, approved, rejected and returned material areas.
7. Issue raw materials and packing materials to Production as per authorized requisitions.
8. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices for material issuance and stock rotation.
9. Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform the concerned department about shortages.

Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
11. Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA/QC and Accounts departments for material-related activities.
12. Maintain proper documentation and records as per SOP and GMP requirements.
13. Ensure cleanliness, safety and proper housekeeping of the store area.
14. Handle ERP/software-based inventory transactions and maintain accurate data.
15. Support internal, customer and regulatory audits by providing required store records and documents.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of Stores & Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of GMP, FIFO/FEFO and material handling procedures.
- Positive communication, coordination and documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP / Inventory Management Software.
- Ability to manage stock accurately and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred: Candidates with relevant experience in API / Pharmaceutical / Chemical Manufacturing Industries will be preferred.
